The Clerk acts in an objective way on behalf of the whole council and is not accountable to any single councillor.
The Clerks wide-ranging responsibilities which include, but are not limited to, providing advice, a managerial role, administrative support and correspondence management. More specifically, the Clerk is the proper officer for the Parish Council as well as acting as the responsible financial officer (S151).
